Presenting G.Loomis' 2024 lineup of GLX Bass Casting & Spinning Rods! Built for experienced hands, G. Loomis designs tools for anglers demanding performance with purpose. Steeped in experience gained from handcrafting rods in the US for over four decades, the revamped GLX BASS series represents tangible proof of their disciplined philosophy of "continuous refinement."
With structural upgrades achieved through a proprietary blend of high-modulus graphite and advanced resin technologies, the GLX BASS series features rod blanks with boosted strength-to-weight ratios, heightened balance, and pumped sensitivity. Rolled on "stepped mandrels" machined with micro-tapers at specific points within the overall taper, G. Loomis engineers isolate and reinforce areas likely to fail under load to provide maximum durability. Multi-Taper Design is best described as a series of "micro-tapers" within the overall taper of the rod. This unique, proprietary process allows them to use more material on potential break points and less material everywhere else.
All GLX BASS models come equipped with a full tangle-free Fuji K SiC guide train to improve line management and reduce overall weight. Premium cork handles complement custom CI4+ reel seats designed to amplify an angler's connection to the blank for enhanced bite transmission and all-day comfort. While CI4 is an original material reinforced with carbon fiber that is lighter and has a higher strength than conventional resin material. CI4+ is an advanced version of the original CI4 material and is 2.5x more rigid than its predecessor.
